Naturopathy is a health care modality and philosophy that encompasses a variety of health promoting tools such as functional nutrition, food as medicine, herbalism, flower essence therapy, hydrotherapy and iridology.

Naturopaths believe that the human body is a complete vessel, not just the sum of its parts. We place great emphasis on the connections between each organ, how bodily systems work with each other and the vitality of the person. Due to this, it is an overarching philosophy to treat the whole person, this eliminates symptomatic treatments and focuses solely on resolving the root cause of illness.

Nature cure is another primary focus of treatment protocols, we strive to employ the least invasive intervention to achieve the desired results. The body is designed to endogenously heal, and if we remove disturbing factors often large interventions are not necessary.

Each healing modality has a wide array of therapeutic benefits, and each body is so radically different. It is due to this that each treatment plan for each client are varied. Your body is incredibly unique, which is why each treatment prescribed by a naturopath is specifically tailored to your bodies needs.

As my studies were through an academic college, there was strong focus on evidence based medicine. There is mounting evidence for the potential benefits of naturopathy as whole as well as isolated compounds found in food and medicinal plants. I work with a blend of both empirical and evidence based practices ignorer to achieve the best outcome for clients.
